Has anyone marked out the locations of each drop-off? I know the guide mentions general locations, but I'm looking for something a little more specific. I'd love coordinates, but even city blocks would do.
I'm curious if there's a pattern with regards to the location in relation to the location of the safehouse. If there's a way to predict where another drop-off might happen.
It's not a bad direction to take, but I don't think it's the right angle. That would be implying that the city itself is planning these festivals around our arrivals, and they're not.
For what it's worth: that is the pattern. Places where there are enough people that some showing up in scrubs won't stand out, though their outfits sometimes are more sophisticated.

So, "where" is a matter of knowing when a big thing will happen, and what's the best way to control surveillance (or that's my best guess in the matter: El hasn't been able to trace anything back, so it's someone who's one step ahead).

Yes, with the exception of what I know about New Beijing (which isn't much, I should look into it), New Tokyo (left in a temporarily shut down corporate building, but I believe they got there the same way? Hard to say—New Tokyo was facing a massively unexpected weather event), and anyone left in the facility that I can't help with.
The facility wasn't far from here, but it was in a part of the world we couldn't legally reach on foot. New Tokyo and New Beijing are more surprising. My question is: would a drop off happen wherever we've gathered all at once? And if so, why?
Thinking broadly, the people doing the drop offs know how much a problem it would be if a new arrival wasn't taken in by one of the Displaced. Theft, injury, getting caught by the police or UNA, etc. So the safest thing is to make sure the rest of us get to the new arrivals before anyone else does.
If New Amsterdam is our base (so to speak), it makes sense the majority of drop offs would happen here.
The first exception was when, according to the guide, everyone found themselves waking up on a train heading to New Tokyo. The ninth round also happened there. Makes sense if there's no one in New Amsterdam to retrieve people.
The second exception was New Beijing and given how the entries before and after all relate to retrieving Judas, I'm guessing the AI was located in New Beijing? But I'm also guessing not everyone was there either, so why do a drop off there and not New Amsterdam again?
New Tokyo is definitely the strangest considering the sheer amount of coordination needed to move an entire group without anyone realizing it, the people being moved included. I'm going to imagine a lot didn't take kindly to waking up on a train out of the blue.

I think you're mixing up the drop off in New Tokyo with the train ride.
We, the present and properly identified Displaced, were on a train. Some of us were there suddenly. It was following the dream situation where reality itself was altered. Trust me when I say that trying to find another logical cause to that won't shake out.
The people in New Tokyo would've had to get there by train, probably, but we don't know for sure. We don't even know how they knew we'd be going there, but they did.
That's what I meant, but I could have worded it better. Current Displaced wake up on a train. The ninth round drop-off happens after. Displaced could have been put on the train to ensure the ninth arrivals had people to rendezvous with.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole dream-sharing thing. I guess it'll make more sense if I ever experience it? Is that a common thing that happens? Or is it something people don't really talk about so it's hard to tell?
I hardly think I'm the first person to try to track the vehicles bringing people in and dropping them off. I think there's value in trying to use upcoming festivals to try to predict where a drop-off might happen to try to find more information.
But do you think there's anything more pertinent to focus on? I know I'm new, but that just means I can I have a lot of directions I could move in.
No, we weren't put on the train for that reason, because that implies there was an external agent able to take me and put me on that train, and there was nothing of the sort. I didn't wake up drugged, and I didn't have any signs that I'd recently been drugged.
The dream-sharing thing depends. There was the big dream. We all got swept up in it, and then there weren't any dreams for a couple of months. Now we're all having smaller, shared dreams, but they aren't on the same level.
In terms of pertinent, I'd focus on getting a job and a place to live. I know that sounds ... wrong? Maybe? But you're here now, and you're not going to have resources without the rest of that lined up.
It's hard to envision if you weren't there. I think the fact that we rolled back literal calendar days to before any of the willing train goers had gotten on a train is more telling. We were the only ones who remembered the time before, or the life before everything was changed.

It erased the effects of a monster attacking and decimating New Tokyo. The city was in ruins, and some of the Displaced were on a train to head out there for relief efforts. Another monster was attacking New Johannesburg when we were put under. I remember hearing about it before I fell asleep.
These attacks were replaced by weather events when we woke up. No monsters.

What kind of level of harmless are we talking about? Small animals like squirrels running around with gold eyes, or "don't mind the wolf, it'll leave you alone if you leave it alone."
