What do you think about organizing a journey to Everest and New Oslo in the next month to try and find something that the Displaced can work on together?
I was thinking of making a post. Talking about why we're going and how we plan to get there.
Strange said Everest would be too dangerous for most people, but New Oslo might be better, and then we can all work on it together. Provided people are willing. Given how many responded to [Bad username or site: kyna @ medina]'s latest post, I think enough are invested in what this thing in our chests is doing at least to try. Don't you think?
I agree. My concern is the cost of getting people there. That's where I've been stuck. Once we get there, we don't know where to go or how to go. I've had it suggested to me that we can use the math within the sacred geometry to find the coordinates, but I think if that could be done, Ball would've done it for us.
Probably. There are Displaced who've made a decent living. I bet if we made a fund for the people who wanted to go, some people who wouldn't choose to go would still share their resources.
[ Rey also woke up every day on Jakku like MAYBE IT'LL RAIN, Clarke; don't trust her. ]
But this whole thing, a lot of people don't even accept the fact that this universe has gods, even if theirs doesn't. Or that we're not walking into a trap of some kind.
The only thing that explains why Loki has lost his power, not to mention Thor when he was still here, is something that would be able to overpower or suppress both of them.
[What she doesn't know is that it makes sense for Rey, too. Fun fact: Kylo Ren once alluded to him and Rey losing their powers, but Clarke never knew who he was referring to.]
My world back home is one where there is always a natural, "normal" explanation for things. Based on that, I wouldn't buy anything here.
But Markus was human, rather than a cyborg. Loki and Thor are gods, diminished. Remember when Thor punched a wall as if he thought he'd actually get through it? And the train—I wasn't on it. Peggy had history in this world that was impossible. And the dreams.
Any of the cynicism I had was gone before I met with Ball. Loki explains it well, too. The rules of my world don't have to apply to this one, and vice versa.
Sounds like I could stand to spend more time with Loki.
[ Rey does not always explain herself well, and she knows it. This is a light-hearted step back from acknowledging that she's grateful to know that just as she's gained some insight and started to work on things because of Clarke, that some of the things she'd been put off by about Clarke, even if not because of Rey, Clarke has begun to work on too. ]
What do you think we'll find at the gates? "Answers" is too vague to get people to agree to come, isn't it? I want us to get as many of the Displaced on board with this as we can.

This is the largest group we've had since us. I'm not sure how I read them on any of what we're already undertaking.

Do you think we could pool resources?

Even if it's a trap, it's our best chance. They have to see that.

Then again, I think we already do.

I'm just surprised you do. I'd always thought you would be harder to convince about this, I guess.
[ But they're both used to Rey having misconceptions about the nature of Clarke's cynicism and skepticism. ]

If we're really touched by a god, I would hope that it's some way to control this power.
But in that, the question comes: should we even be allowed to do that? Given what we know.
