Mixed, but his heart is in the right place.

That said, I wouldn't advise working with him if he rubs you the wrong way. It'll be ... difficult for you to take orders from someone like him.

We're planning a thing at Red Wings with training. I don't know how long it will take to get setup, but we could have you spearhead it if you'd like.

You know I will. It is clear that everyone here needs to be trained, at least in defense. Too many died.

People will die regardless, and many people aren't warriors. But if they can defend themselves, it's a good start.

It'll make them feel like they have even a small amount of control, if they can defend themselves.

I agree. But some people won't want to do it. I'd prefer to avoid this place feeling like a warzone.

I know that's impossible, but ... it's one of the good things about this world.

No one will learn well when it's against their will. It must be voluntary. It can't only be the Displaced, we did much of the fighting in places of this city, it's the people who need to learn. What if they've never been offered the chance? Or don't know who to ask?

We'll offer it to them.

Defense combat, escape strategy, stealth, basic first aid. Nothing too much for the common person, but they would be more ready for the next disaster.

You know, the people in this world were all raised to believe they'd never have to experience this. Not on this scale.

I envy them for it.

I don't know what it would feel like, to be raised with so much innocence and security. Do you wonder who you would be, if this was the world you were born into?

No. I don't wonder because it's not who I am.

And these people are being shaped into someone else, too. Whether they want it or not.

I think I would be someone else entirely and so not me.

They are. But humans are adaptable. We've proven that over and over again, I don't think these ones will be any different. They'll learn to be harder.
